As we have no Sunday Mass congregation we would greatly appreciate your support where possible for our weekly Planned Giving to help with the basic maintenance of the Church and Parish. We know that many people have been affected financially by the Covid- 19 crisis so any support is greatly appreciated. LAUDATO Si 16th-24th May
This year Catholics all over the world have been called to celebrate Laudato Si` week. In a message to all of us the Pope has renewed his urgent call for a more sustainable future for everyone. What kind of world do we want to leave to those who will come after us, to children who are growing up?" Pope Francis asks. Motivated by this question”, he says, “I would like to invite you to participate in Laudato Si' Week from 16-24 May 2020. It is a global campaign on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the encyclical let- ter Laudato si': On the care of our common home.” The Pope also renews his urgent call to respond to the ecologi- cal crisis: “The cry of the earth and the cry of the poor cannot continue”, he says. “Let's take care of creation, a gift of our good Creator God. Let's celebrate Laudato Si' Week together.” “GOD SPOKE; “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so they can be responsi- ble for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, and yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves in the face of the Earth” Genesis 1:2 If you are interested in joining Pope Francis and want to take the next step in your Laudato si’ journey, you can find suggestions available HERE
PRAYER FOR OUR EARTH Teach us to discover the worth of each thing, to be filled with awe and contemplation, to recognize that we are profoundly united with every creature as we journey towards your infinite light.
